Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

Overall am pleased with the appearance and function of my cap so far. Purchased one back in 1996 and was happy with it, but did have issues with it latching as it aged. I really like that A.R.E. caps are made locally and was the main reason for choosing. I am having problems with the rear window latch. It rubs against the top of my lift gate and has notched out the plastic top cover. The handle is very hard to turn. The dealer has tried to correct the problem but the problem returned. Also had to have the plastic contour strip replaced, as one of the rivets was busted. I do not think the contour strip is made very well, can see it not holding up over time. Still, overall like my cap, just not pleased with having to make multiple trips to the dealer to try to correct flaws.
