After the cap was installed on truck it was dirty. So, the first thing I did when I got home was to wash it. The plastic ledge under the rear window is very rough and tears up any kind of cloth or sponge. You can’t use anything to wash or dry it without having to pick all the lint and other residue off the plastic. Also, this piece is very flimsy. In order to close the rear window you have to pull and press on this piece, which seems very flexy and flimsy. Over time I’m not sure how this will hold up. The dealer I bought this from is going to try to contact A.R.E. to get a solution to the finish on this piece. The finish is totally unacceptable, so I hope that this can be fixed. Also, vent windows that partially fold out, can’t be cleaned on the inside without removing the screens, which requires removing a lot of screws.
