It is shaped to match the lines of the hood and is really eye catching. It looks a lot better than the flat flip covers. So, the first thing I did when I got home was to wash it. The plastic ledge under the rear window is very rough and tears up any kind of cloth or sponge. You can’t use anything to wash or dry it without having to pick all the lint and other residue off the plastic. Also, this piece is very flimsy. In order to close the rear window you have to pull and press on this piece, which seems very flexy and flimsy. Over time I’m not sure how this will hold up. The dealer I bought this from is going to try to contact A.R.E. to get a solution to the finish on this piece. The finish is totally unacceptable, so I hope that this can be fixed. I have always used Snugtop because I guess I never did any research. After having this installed by Daco in Van Nuys, this is the best looking top I have ever owned. It fits great and matches perfect. Its not totally flat and it is made to really look good with the truck.
