I am an avid surfcaster, and for the last 14 years have had an A.R.E. Cap on my "Beach Buggy" I purchased my new CAP for my 2010 Dodge Dakota, a replacement after losing my 1999 Dakota with a MX Cap to Hurricane Sandy this past fall. I am pleased to say that my new cap is even better as the one I lost. The improvements to the lighting options, the fold down front window, and the Yakima Roof Rack made this CAP perfect for use on my "beach Buggy" and storing my Surf rods. I highly recommend it to my fellow surfcasters to use on their beach trucks. My only regret is not getting the walk in door as I had on my old truck, with Hurricane bills I could not afford it at this time. It is a great option!

I had this CAP on my 1999 Dakota from the time I purchased the truck new in 1999 till my truck was totaled with "Hurricane Sandy". I had the option with the walk in door. For 13 years this CAP stayed on my truck. It never leaked, and all the features remained in good working order. This truck was my "Beach Buggy" as I am an avid Surfcaster. All the salt air did not effect my CAP, it was unfortunate I lost my truck and the CAP to the hurricane. I just purchased a new 2010 Dakota, and with that ordered my MX CAP which was installed yesterday. This CAP is just as nice as the one I purchased 13 years ago, it too will be on the beach many hours as I surfcast on the Long Island shores. I recommend A.R.E. products for anyone who has a "beach buggy", that is a 4X4 truck with a CAP. Larry C. a Long Island Surfcaster.

This is my third A.R.E. cap/topper and I've been satisfied with all of them. The quality is second to none. I've made my purchases from two different dealers, Southern Custom, Gainesville, Fl. and Ziebart, Marion, Oh., and their knowledge of the product and installation is very professional and very satisfying.
