I don't think this is a common problem. However, it happened in this instance. I was also told that delivery was 3 weeks, but it took almost a full month to get it installed. Overall I am very satisfied with the product. When ordering with a front window, make sure you get the fold-down slider. Other than that, I am happy with the overall fit and appearance, so far. Time will be the factor.
