I had a 1995 Toyota T100 with a Leer shell and later moved it to my current 2006 Tundra. The fit was good and painted it to match the color of the truck. Unfortunately during a storm a small tree in my driveway fell on it and damaged it. I was looking for replacement but Leer did not manufacture it any more so I purchased a A.R.E. The A.R.E. shell does not fit properly and was told by a car paint shop it cannot be painted because the paint will peal off. A.R.E. offers no T-tap connection to the Stop/Break light, connecting through the insulation as the dealer recommended is not a good solution. There is no information about the non-standard connector it comes with, the dealer has no clue about electrical connectors and manufacturer has no customer service to ask questions. I needed aluminum shell so that I could easily take it off and put back on.

We ordered this canopy in black ( match paint code) and waited 3 weeks to find A.R.E. Had shipped it in white, having a brand new jet black Sierra this was not acceptable. We returned it, noting that the paint code had been entered on the order. Almost 4 weeks later we finally got called and told it was in and this time it was black. Granted A.R.E. ate the cost of the custom paint. We are happy with the canopy and the awesome roof rack we ordered. A local contractor saw our rack and sent back the Yakima he had purchased , it fits our pickup well and looks "SHARP" in front of the airstream watch for Aluminati on the highway. 30
