The tool boxes are rated 120 lbs I believe The only thing I would prefer is maybe an option to support the tool boxes from the under side to the bed. Even though they are rated 120 lbs they have too much deflection in them when compact 30 lb loads are layed in. I was wanting to load a few cases of shotgun shells in the them. I did ask my dealer McGuire (who is excellant) to reach out to ARE for additional supports. The cap is 1st class. I just was hoping for "beafier" tool boxes. Even better fit and finish than the last one, which we were very happy with. Solid construction, looks beautiful. Only thing I would change is the size of the handle on the locking mechanism; seems smaller than the previous cap, and if you aren't careful you scrape your knuckles. Not a big deal.
