This is the 2nd ARE CX series topper I have purchased. The first was bought in 2008. I was pleased with the first topper that was put on a 2007 Tacoma. It fit well and looked right. In November of 2013 I purchased another CX series topper of my new 2014 Tacoma. The fit and finish of the new topper is a major step backward from the first topper. The sides of the topper stick out past the truck cab sidelines, and it generates some wind noise. The back window/ door is framed differently, and some sharp edges of the aluminum frame stick out and could easily snag clothing as a person walks past. The topper was very dirty when I received it. The installation was exceptionally poor. The installer put the topper on crooked. I was able to slip my hand between the topper door and the tail gate. I pointed out the poor fit to the installer, and he didn't seem to think it was a problem. After getting home, I gave the topper a thorough cleaning, and refitted the topper best I could. This topper is a disappointment compared to the first one.
