The cap looks great but in my opinion there is one design flaw. Because of the 2012 Dodge Ram tailgate design, you had to manufacture a fiberglass mold that fits around the top side of the tailgate that adheres directly to the cap. This fiberglass piece had to be cut by A.R.E in order to get the locking mechanism installed. This fiberglass piece should have been sealed with some sort of silicon or RTV cement. When it rains, water comes down the inside of the tailgate getting the cargo wet. I took it upon myself to seal this fiberglass piece to the cap. Hopefully it holds up. I understand why this design had to be made to fit the 2012 Ram's but, in my opinion A.R.E could have sealed this at the factory using some sort of fiberglass cement after the locking mechanism was installed. The cap itself is great, I just hated this design that fits around the top of the trucks tailgate.
