Prior to this, I have been purchasing SUV's and full size vans. Thus I was not knowledgeable about truck caps. I was highly suggested by three Toyota dealers, three nephews who are truck fanatics and several truck driving friends that A.R.E. caps are the premium caps and well-worth the cost. I viewed every topper maker on the internet and finally decided to purchase a topper from A.R.E. The topper is well made and was installed by my local dealer. I have been very happy with my topper so far. I opted for the side opening windows and a Yakima roof rack. I highly recommend the opening side windows for anyone who doesn't like climbing in the bed to reach items. I had to replace six small sheet metal screws on the exterior trim that started to rust almost the first day. I spent 36 cents to replace them and that is a small price to pay. The price of the topper was high, but I think it was worth every penny. I installed my own LED light in the bed area and use my topper everyday. I would recommend these toppers to anyone who is looking. My friend found a used one on Craigslist and had it painted.
