A king size air mattress will fit in the back along with plenty of room for gear. The interior carpeting provides plenty of insulation (as well as soundproofing). I've slept in temperatures as low as the 20's with nothing more than a medium weight sleeping bag. You shipped it with one of the windoors I paid extra for in bad condition(rusted screws not put in correctly,consequently rubbing on the frame-basically poor workmanship and quality control)I expected more than what I got.
