I've had this cap a month now and am really happy overall with the cap and the installation. There are 2 things that annoy me about the setup. (1) the cap lock keys do not match the side door lock keys. I now have to carry 3 keys for one truck. Locks that match the truck would be ideal. (2) the side tool bins are completely unfinished with white paint. The cap is very nicely carpeted making the bins look less than professional.

 Very nice top but concerns

I said I would not recommend this top, if I had another option I would have said with changes. I just picked up my top yesterday. The dealer was great and the top looks great. My concern with my top for a 2019 Chevy 1500 short bed. The rear door has a built in lip to cover the tail gate. That lip on the door is heavy and the struts for the door are tight. You need to keep a hold of the door while closing so the door does not close to hard and puts too much pressure on the lip of the door. That lip is not mounted to the door very well for the weight!

I have a Decked tool box, along with the CX Series cap. I can switch up from tools to outdoor gear. With the three access doors on the cap I can reach in to anything in the back. Great combination for my needs.
