LSII bed cover from Capital Campers in Baton Rouge, LA. I have always had good service from Capital Campers and top notch products from A.R.E. The LSII I purchased for my 2021 RAM is the best looking bed cover that I’ve ever seen. The styling is awesome and the build quality is second to none. The first time it rained I noticed a leak in my bed which was especially troubling since I have a bed rug. I recently was able to make the time to go back to the dealer and was hoping they could fix the leak. When I was picking it up, the dealer told me that the ARE tonneau cover for the new Tacoma’s don’t really fit well and that’s why the cap is leaking. This of course made me really unhappy to find out and even though they worked on the cover it still leaks. I can’t imagine paying $1500 for a product that I have to continually worry about water getting into my bed. The hard cover provides water proof protection and security via the eLock for my camping/fishing equipment. I ordered without a light since my truck already has cargo lights. I also installed a BedSlide (all black addition). So I do have a few cons: 1st - the cover finish is not smooth as your paint finish. This is my 2nd ARE purchase (first was Quicksand color on a Tundra) and the finish was also not smooth. A good coat of polish helps but it still in not as smooth as I believe it should be at this price. 2nd - when the cover is closed you can push up on the cover quite easily. Simply put the latching system is not strong and again at this price point the latching should be more secure. 3rd - the cover is heavy and difficult/impossible to open one handed. If ARE provided an option with an auto lift then I would seriously consider it assuming the price was right.
