THE THIRD A.R.E. TOP I HAVE OWNED. WORKMANSHIP, FIT, PAINT AND ELECTRICAL OPERATION ALL TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN. I HAVE 2 BROTHERS IN LAW THAT HAVE TOPPERS AND 1 SON WHO DOES SO GUESS YOU COULD SAY WE ARE AN A.R.E. SUPPORTING FAMILY. EVERYTHING ABOUT MY NEW TOP IS GREAT TRIED LEER, GLASSTITE AND LEONARDS NOTHING COMPARES OR OUTPERFORMS A.R.E. LSX ULTRAS.

Had one little problem with locking and unlocking and they fixed it immediately on return to the shop!!

Looked at most of the serious manufacturers of hard lids and folding lids for a 6 month period. Compared construction, hardware, and appearance. Decided that a hard lid met my needs. A.R.E.'s hardware is better, in my opinion. I specifically like the scissor hinges and the mounting hardware. Both are more robust than competing manufacturers. It was delivered in under two weeks. Watched the installation, and the only comment I have is the the shroud over locking mechanism did not fit correctly. The shroud impinged on the movement of the locking mechanism. The installer rearranged a small part of the shroud with a hammer and blunt force. The locking mechanism is not impinging any longer. Hopefully this will not void my warranty.
