 V Classic Topper

I've only had the topper for a few days but, in general, I like it very much. It seems to fit well and the paint color coordination is excellent. I have found a few minor problems: 1) The aluminum trim inside and above the rear window is bent (peeled back) as if it got stuck on the lift mechanism during handling. 2) The sliding windows are very stiff in their tracks and hard to slide open & closed. 3) The installers did not tighten the left rear clamp bolt, perhaps because they stripped or rounded off the bolt head. (I got it tightened.) Otherwise, it seems A-OK.

This is purchase number 4 of ARE products. My first three purchases were Tonneau covers. I was wanting a different look and more enclosed area too. Mike and his crew at Truck-n-Stuff here in Tulsa are the best. Always so professional and attentive to the customers needs.

 V Series Taco Topper

Bought the V series from a local dealer. Shipping took almost 7 weeks but it was during the holiday season so I can’t complain too much. I’m on a budget so the V series was the best option for me. Wasn’t able to put any bells or whistles on it but I was able to buy the front glass window swiveling down to clean it from the inside and put factory tracks on the roof. This was a very smart purchase. If I hadn’t done that, any drilling I would’ve done myself would have voided the warranty. If money wasn’t an issue I would’ve also purchased side windows that open out instead of slide and maybe an interior lights option. Since putting it on my truck I’ve added .25 inch screens to the window openings, they already have big screens but with my two dogs being dogs they would’ve torn through it immediately. I’ve also added a Prinsu Toprack to it and it’s very useful and looks great. Smaller things like adding a D-rings to the roof by unscrewing the screws holding the tracks down have helped out with space. Overall couldn’t be happier.
