The positive, the color match is almost perfect, but with a 9 year old truck and sun-fading I was not expecting it to be perfect. The negatives, it looks as though they were in a hurry to complete my cap as there are unfinished edges on the back glass frame that are sharp enough edges you could be cut by them. The front slider window sounds as though there are glass or metal shards in the track making the window very difficult to open for fear of breaking it even after blowing the track out with a compressor it still does not slide easily. Side windows are the same way, very difficult to open. Ordered my cap with the carpeted liner and LED lighting. Headliner has two LARGE stains that look like rust, not sure if that was from the factory or dealer that installed. Z Series Z Series : Ford F150 March 09, 2017    Posted by: Chris My first A.R.E. brand cap. I previously owned other brands. I have had the cap one week now. After the first rain the carpet under the windows was wet on all three sides. I have been back to dealer once and he determined passenger side window is leaking. He made an attempt seal it better by adding many many screws to the window frame. Not sure how 1 window leaking causes all 3 sides to get wet so I am skeptical that my problems are solved. Then there is the fit....nothing like my other cap was...nice and snug all way around. This cap literally hangs out past the side rails. It fits much closer near the front and back but then bows out as it gets near the center on both sides of the truck. The gap is a good 1/2 inch or more. It is wide enough to put all your fingers in the crack. The reason I purchased A.R.E. is because they cost more and are built better. I agree that it does seem to be built better but what good is it if it leaks and poorly fits the dimensions of the truck bed.
