Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

We picked up the truck cap at Michigan Truck Accessories in Traverse City on Wednesday, June 3. The store was so dirty, my wife and I chose to wait outside instead of in the store for over the hour and a half it took to place the topper on the truck and wire it. The floor of the store looked like it hadn't been mopped in over a year. All the product on display was coated with a thick layer of dirt and grime. I expected more, considering the corona virus lockdown and everyone emphasizing cleaning and disinfecting. When we got home, we noticed scratches on the passenger side front panel. It appears that these scratches were noticed and someone tried to sand them. We were given a bottle of touch up paint "for the truck or whatever". No one mentioned any damage to the truck cap. I have pictures that I sent to the owner's Facebook messenger email, but he just told me that he needs to see the truck which means an hour drive there and back for me. The paint is not an exact match to the truck, either. I had an ARE top with my previous truck which influenced my decision on the brand of topper to purchase. However, I am not sure this dealer is someone you want to represent your product.
