Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

The A.R.E. Cap is a fabulous cap. The ARE approved Vendor installation is quite poor. The cap was scratched by the Fork Lift upon arrival and I was told to take it to a body shop for repainting. I thought that should be their obligation. The wiring was never corrected. Installation was quite poor and cleanup even poorer. Finally, the cap was not installed correctly. I have 2018 Ford F-150 and the tailgate used to lower by pressing a button. The cap was installed so the the edge catches the tailgate and from there it must be manually lowered. Finally, the cap windows were not cleaned of the glue or tape used, tacky! I am taking my truck to another ARE vendor for proper installation. I am happy with the cap, but greatly disappointed with the installation. A.R.E. needs some quality control over its vendors.
