I purchased a brand new CX CAP for my brand new 2018 F-150. The cap arrived and the ends on the cap in the rear by the tailgate fiberglass were left rough and had big gaps. The carpet was also loose all over and not secure. I called ARE, sent pictures. So in an attempt to make things right they sent me another one. Same exact thing, the ends were not finished and the second one was also missing the molding strip. Come to find out later the installing dealer ran the wires for the brake light and did not secure them properly, they were just hanging and cut the factory wiring on both sides of the taillights. Not splice in, but cut the wires! So after a few months of this I requested a refund and return the cap. The dealer told me they would only refund me 50% of the cost due to a restocking fee?? Really, they are charging me to restock a product that they never delivered to me correct in the first place. So if you buy a cap from ARE make sure your ready for substandard quality.
