A.R.E. X Series

I needed a Truck Cap for the new 2016 Tacoma. Only dealer within 75 miles showed features on the Snug Top, A.R.E. and catalog info for Leer. I selected A.R.E. for $$ value. The top requested was ordered, but not available due to New Model, (I was told), which caused a 4 week delay in delivery of available top because the Dealer never called me to verify the change needed. Once top was received, the dealer was very good on immediate installation. Top was as described. I noticed the immediate noise and wind reduction upon first drive. Quality seems to be Very Good. Happy with the A.R.E. top so far - the dealer's female phone personnel need to work on their Customer Service. Manager John was very helpful, everyone else - not so much.

 Awesome except for.......

Cap fit and finish is great except the 3rd brake light. Not exactly a tight finish. Only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars. Headliner is great. Light ropes are great. Haven't gotten to use the roof racks yet. Over all very pleased with product.

I have the Z series on a Ram 1500 CC with the 6'4" bed. The color match to the factory truck was very good. The color variance from the truck is maybe 1-2 shades different. My complaint is with the latching mechanism. I purchased the electronic latch and LED light strips which work flawlessly for the last 2 years. Then the plastic internal cylinder that holds the handle return spring for the palm latch has broken. The lock still operates, but the palm handle is floppy.
