Lsx Series LSX Series : Ford F150 March 24, 2015    Posted by: Phil I had an LSX Ultra installed on my new 2014 Ford F150 Super Crew. The Serling Gray Metallic (UJ) paint match was perfect and really looks great on the truck. My dealer, American Car Craft II, was very helpful and efficiently installed the cover. They wired it to the keyless entry just the way I wanted (so it opens on the second remote click with the passenger doors). I had an ARE LSII on my 2002 F150 and it was great, the LSX Ultra is a significant improvement. I love the interior light and keyless entry which make the cover so much more useable for me. My only complaint is with the wiring for interior light. The wires leading to the light are not 'dressed' in any way so there is a red and black exposed wire for the last 6-8 inches leading to the light which are just loose and flopping around. There are also two wires for the microswitch that turns the light on and off that are not dressed. It just gives the mechanism an unfinished look. I watched the dealer take it off the shipping pallet so I know that's how it left the factory. Its a problem that 10 cents worth of heat shrink tubing and some wire tucking will easily fix but A.R.E. should explore that little bit of attention to detail on such an expensive cover (hence the loss of half a star in the rating). All in all, the LSX Ultra is a great cover and I am very pleased with it. Cx Series CX Classic : Ford Ranger June 19, 2014    Posted by: Phil Recently purchased this cap for my 2010 Ford Ranger XL standard cab, with options of Outdoorsman window package (both sides), two handle rear window, tilt down front window, auto function interior lamp, clothes rod and the Yakima rack system. Got the interior carpet option free with the coupon offer. Only disappointment on my order was the fishing pole holder, which was a dealer-installed option; no fault on A.R.E., my dealer dropped the ball and it was not installed (nor was I charged for it, though). Fit and finish are superb, and the paint match is spot-on! I ordered the Yakima system, because it was listed at a lower price than I could have ordered it from Yakima myself; almost $100 difference! I give the cap a 4.5 star rating, mainly because if I use it to bunk-in on a camp out, I can't close the door and lock myself in with the two handle rear door; can only pull the door closed. Also, the rear door is slightly curved, and therefore a gap exists when closed against the tailgate.
