Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

I don't like the big ugly plastic piece that sticks out from tailgate. When it came in it was already broken on both sides. I can see this piece continuing to break year after year in the cold. Now I have to drive the 45 minutes back to dealer for a replacement.. Just a bad design... Also the latch arm assembly is hitting the top of my tailgate, they ground them down and they are still hitting. Also the handle you turn are very cheap, when they put it back together one of the cheap plastic pieces it screws into busted off, luckily they had another handle in stock, although it was bigger and rubs on the ugly plastic piece once again I feel poor quality... Color match was OK but can see a little difference, I do like the carpet on the ceiling, and flip down window... Please come up with a new design for that plastic piece, I really don't want to keep going to the dealer every year... I don't see the thing lasting thru the car wash with the spinning wheel... Just thought this product would have been better for the money... None of it was my dealers fault either... Just seems like it was rushed through production and no quality checked...
