 Haven't Owned a Truck Cap in Many Years

It's been over 20 years since I had my last truck cap. I'm very impressed with the fit and finish of my new A.R.E. cap. It looks great and will be very functional for the general type use I have planned for it. I really like the way the cap was designed to fit with the tailgate of my 2014 Ram 1500. Very happy so far.

 Topper

The Aluminum topper is my second unit. It is very functional and dependable. However I immediately found many leaks in the front and side seams/door openings. The dealer has made an attempt to seal with silicone caulk. Unfortunately I know that silicone caulk will only be a temporary fix. I will later fill it with Lexel more permanent sealant/adhesive as I already have on the passenger side door hinge attachment area.
