No cap is inexpensive these days but for a $2,700 product you expect some more Quality control and better fitment. I have a unibody Ford Maverick so fitment is not easy and sealing the cap isn't either but a few things could have helped. I believe the corners curl up too early and should have a flatter section like the top rail sections, I had to add extra foam to build down (and up) the corners to make better contact.I believe the cap sides that attached to the bed rails are actually slightly arced up in the middle, but the bed rails are flat... Also I had to drive 120 miles round trip back to my installer because the wrong wiring diagram was given to them and the lights didn't work correctly. They also attempted to better seal the cap for me but didn't have a much better outcome. Also, I see moisture stuck in the 3rd brake light which I'm concerned about. I had to tighten some screws on the windows that weren't tightened all the way and the front window leaked and filled up with water in the moulding and spilled over into the truck bed and soaked the carpeting of the entire rim around the bed cap. I added a small strip of weather striping foam to hopefully fix this issue. I would recommend this cap for the price especially compared to the Ford purchased cap from snugtop, but I was expecting a little better workmanship on the windows and providing the correct information to the dealer on wiring. I understand installation cannot guarantee a weathertight seal, but a leaking window due to bad gasket install should not happen.

CX Classic Color match was off. GM Frost Tri Coat A lot of yellow compared to truck Not happy. Pet screen has large bulges on both windows due to improper installation, resulting in a terrible fit and eye sore. Save your $. After owning Thule racks, Yakima has a lot to be desired. Complicated just to remove or adjust load bars. Tailgate cap is sturdy and secured well to shell. Inside of cap is unpainted fiberglass and the outside is painted black with real rough texture. Only drawback is if you wash it, do not rub a towel across the surface to remove water. Lint from towel sticks all over cover and very difficult to remove. Wish it were a smooth finish. I ordered two handle door and am happy with the quality of handles and latches. Keys for locks are HUGE. Bottom paint to match rubber trim piece along bottom of shell is missing. Website says and shell for 2013 or newer, included. Not with mine. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. Just wish the color was a closer match. I will take to body shop and pay to have it painted to match....

I recently purchased the A.R.E. CX Classic truck 'cap' for my 2017 TRD OR. I got 'windoors' on both sides (one with a slider and one without) and the front folding/removable window. Very disappointed in the product. It leaks so much that I can't build out a permanent camper bed like I had planned. Water leaks from all the rails, and the window weepers (soaked the carpet and all my gear).
I spent extra to get the Linex coating (OTR version). I really like the look, but the topper doesn't quite fit my rig. It appears the topper shifted about 1 1/2 inches back and in the process stripped the paint right off my truck bed. I tried re-adjusting it myself, but it still isn't quite right. Now the tailgate scrapes the side of the topper. Also, no quick disconnect for the lights, so I have to remove the hardwire if I ever want to remove the truck cap. WTH!
