X Series X Series : Chevy/GMC Silverado/Sierra November 24, 2015    Posted by: Bob On my trucks, two trucks ago I put on an A.R.E. topper and loved it for the next 152,000 miles. On my last truck I had installed a new Leer topper which was a dealer in the local town from where I bought the truck and I was so unhappy with the full time I had the truck and that was for 174,000 miles. So on my present truck I went back to a quality topper and that being an A.R.E. Lsii Series LSII Series : Toyota Tundra October 22, 2015    Posted by: Bob My second A.R.E. bed cover. First one owned for 14 years and still looked great. New A.R.E. cover is beautiful and matches truck exactly. Fit and finish are perfect. Only complaint is new cover has indentation in aft top portion of cover that hold water when it rains. I do not see why it is made this way as old cover was raised and water flowed right off. I assumed new one would be similar as one in showroom and on website was that way. I should have been told this. Tw Series TW Series : Chevy/GMC Silverado/Sierra July 21, 2015    Posted by: BOB The topper seems to be an outstanding product. It was just installed this afternoon and the initial inspection of the unit every thing appears ok. The installing dealer did a decent job but I would not rate it outstanding but I feel that is partial A.R.E.'s fault. The part of the installation I did not care for is the wiring of the third brake light. It was hardwired between the topper and the truck by the dealer. I feel that A.R.E. should use an EZ connector installation cable kit consisting of an EZ disconnect plug to allow easier removal of the topper without having to cut the current hardwired installation. This would make installation and removal of the topper an easier process. This cable kit should be part of the overall installation kit and custom made to fit the truck the topper was ordered for.
