This is the second MX that I have purchased for a Pick-Up and I have a third on order. I prefer the MX because I get the extra headroom and I mount a light bar on the leading edge of the leading edge of the raised edge of the "hump." Its a different look but it is functional and the profile makes it clear that this is a pick-up with a cap, not a Yukon. All three of my caps have the Line-X coating; the first one I had done myself, the two subsequent caps were done by ARE. My only real complaint about all the MX caps that I have bought is that the inside surfaces have all had needles of fiberglass sticking out that, if you were to run your hand over the surface, you would get a fiberglass splinter ... not fun. The ARE dealer I work with offers that I can get the optional interior liner but I should not have to pay extra for a liner just to avoid fiberglass splinters. So I end up sanding the inside of my caps (while wearing leather gloves) to avoid that unpleasant experience. ARE commmands a premium price for their caps; I shouldn't have to sand the interior to get a smooth, splinter-free surface. Bottom line though, I keep coming back to ARE. The fit and overall construction is second to none. Its in the finish details on the inside that they could turn a great product into a truly exceptional one. (my "finish" rating is only for the interior surface; the outside finishes are quite nice and will match your vehicle perfectly.)
